Galaxy Book 12 review: One of the best convertibles around, but it's not a Surface-killer

Portable design ; Good battery life ; Super-vibrant AMOLED screen

Lack of ports is a pain ; Keyboard stand mechanism isn’t the best

Samsung Galaxy Book 12 review

The Galaxy Book's display is out of this world, but its battery life and keyboard keep it grounded.

Samsung Galaxy Book2

With a power-sipping Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 processor, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Windows tablet offers excellent battery life and LTE connectivity, but it suffers from lackluster computing performance.

Excellent battery life. Thin and light. High-quality AMOLED display. Included keyboard cover and digital stylus.

Dull color scheme. Computing performance inadequate for anything other than basic productivity.

Bottom Line: With a power-sipping Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 processor, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Windows tablet offers excellent battery life and LTE connectivity, but it suffers from lackluster computing performance.

Samsung Galaxy Book 2 tablet hands-on: Performance takes a back seat to battery life

Samsung's Galaxy Book 2 includes the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chip, which enables this Windows tablet to achieve industry-leading battery life at the cost of some performance.

Physically, the Galaxy Book demonstrates that changing horses midstream sometimes necessitates a new harness and tack. Samsung clearly is aiming for good-enough performance this time around. The Galaxy Book 2 is a tad shorter, a bit wider, slightly...

Samsung Galaxy Book review

A titillating but troubled 2-in-1 device

Gorgeous display ; Essential accessories included ; Competitive battery life

Still-poor keyboard cover ; Sub-premium materials ; No Windows Hello

Despite an incredible screen and strong battery life, if you’re not able to make liberal use of Samsung’s phone-exclusive syncing and biometric login features via Samsung Flow, there aren’t many compelling reasons to pick up the Galaxy Book over...

Samsung Galaxy Book 2: Samsung’s new 2-in-1 mixes the Snapdragon 850 with Windows 10 S

Samsung's answer to the Surface Pro is back, and this time it's ditched Intel for Qualcomm

The real question mark is over that processor, however. Without question, Qualcomm manufactures the market-leading Android CPU, but its pedigree running Windows is yet to be proved. If the Snapdragon 850 matches astonishing battery life with solid...

Samsung Galaxy Book review: Taking the fight to Microsoft’s Surface Pro

Samsung's Galaxy Book is affordable, compact and refined

Great bundled keyboard and stylus ; Decent performance given price ; Standout display

Middling battery life ; Uninspiring design

Samsung is still keen to deliver a knockout blow against the Surface family, and it’s fair to say that both 10.6in and 12in Galaxy Books land one square on Microsoft’s chin. They might not be the most luxurious-feeling devices, but the Galaxy Book...

Samsung Galaxy Book review: Taking the fight to Microsoft’s Surface Pro, but which version is best?

Samsung's Galaxy Book is affordable, compact and refined – at this price, it's the Windows hybrid to beat, but which should you buy?
