Samsung Gear Fit2

Considering it's taken months for the Samsung Gear Fit2 to finally cross the pond, it wasn't with the highest of expectations that I first slapped it on my wrist. Following two weeks of use, however, I've come away impressed. It's definitely the best...

The Gear Fit 2 is Samsung's best wearable yet

With the Gear Fit 2, Samsung has succeeded in making a capable and stylish fitness tracker. But it also doesn't do anything significantly better or differently than the competition.

Stylish and comfortable design ; Accurate activity tracking ; Built-in GPS and step tracking ; Automatic workout logging

Android-only at the moment ; Samsung's health apps aren't as robust as others

With the Gear Fit 2, Samsung has succeeded in making a capable and stylish fitness tracker. But it also doesn't do anything significantly better or differently than the competition. It feels like a fitness tracker meant for people who really want...

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro review: a solid fitness wearable, although not a big leap on from the standard Gear Fit 2

Samsung's sci-fi-styled fitness band is not a great advertisement for 'going pro'

Offline Spotify ; Fairly attractive by fitness tracker standards

It’s pretty awkward ; 'Pro' spec doesn't add a heck of a lot

Samsung Gear Fit 2 review: Samsung gets fitness tracking right

I have to give Samsung credit: it went from making a me-too wearable to making something that feels like a serious commitment, something that its intended audience would actually want to use. I'm...

Comfortable band ; Tracks everything except swimming ; Built-in GPS

Band still isn’t very attractive ; Display not visible in sunlight ; Android only

Samsung Gear Fit2

With some solid improvements over its predecessor, the Samsung Gear Fit2 is a powerful fitness tracker and a fairly functional smartwatch.

Sharp, colorful display. Comfortable. Doesn't require a Samsung phone. Integrated GPS and heart rate monitor. Standalone music player with Bluetooth streaming capability.

No iOS support. Few additional apps or watch faces available at launch. Narrow screen results in cramped, awkward layouts. Heart rate monitoring isn't continuous.

Conclusions The Gear Fit2 shows just how far Samsung has come in the field of fitness trackers. It's a major improvement over the original Gear Fit, adding support for non-Samsung Android devices, standalone functionality, and more sensors than you'll...

Samsung's Gear Fit 2 nails design, falls short on functionality (review)

The Gear Fit 2 has a beautiful curved-screen design and a long list of features, however it didn't wow us with real world performance.

The Gear Fit 2 has a slim design with a beautiful curved AMOLED display that can show smartphone notifications and weekly charts. It also has GPS, heart-rate monitoring, onboard music storage for up to 1,000 songs, all-day fitness and sleep tracking,...

Short battery life. The accuracy of the heart-rate sensor fluctuates during workouts. You can't wear in the shower or while swimming. No iPhone support. Samsung's S Health app can be confusing.

The Gear Fit 2 is a great-looking feature-packed fitness band, but its design isn't always perfect for hardcore workout warriors.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 review: Fit Up, Look Sharp

Between the Gear S3 Frontier and the Gear IconX smart headphones Samsung already has a healthy collection of wearable tech to hand. The Samsung Gear Fit

Accurate distance and heart-rate tracking ; Solid notification options ; Cool and comfortable design ; Bright and crisp display

Uninspiring battery life ; S Health lacks training advice ; Live data is limited

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is a well-round fitness tracker that's more than the sum of its parts. Its integrated GPS and heart-rate sensor are both on point, while its sizeable screen is both beautiful and responsive.

Samsung Gear Fit2 review

One fitness tracker that's ahead of the curve...

Heading in the right direction with GPS tracking ; Activity tracking makes this smarter than the average Gear ; Great value overall

An app store devoid of life ; Very little stamina

Welcome upgrades like GPS tracking help the Gear Fit2 keep on pace with the competition

Samsung Gear Fit 2 review

Samsung's wearable has never been more Fit

Refined look ; Broader compatibility ; Impressive value

Barometer issues ; Doesn't feature an alarm natively ; Limited battery life

With the Gear Fit 2, Samsung made hefty changes to its wearable line both inside and out, and the result is an Android and iOS-friendly device that does a whole lot for your money.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 review: A fitness tracker worth considering

We took the latest fitness tracker from Samsung for bit of a run to check if it is as good as the plethora of devices out in the market. Read on for what we found.

I prefer a smartwatch over a fitness tracker any day. This is because apart from tracking basic things like step count and calories burned, I like to have something where I can see notifications, reply to them, maybe even navigate maps. I want a bit...
